Delete your SattvaPatha account
You can do this without installing the app, and without signing in.
If you have the app
Open Account, then Delete my account. It tells you what will be kept before you confirm.
If you do not
Email contact@sattvapatha.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject Delete my account.
We may ask one question to confirm it is really you — we will never ask for your password, and we will never ask for card or bank details.
We aim to complete requests within 30 days, and we will confirm in writing when it is done, including exactly what was kept.
What is deleted
- The text of every question you asked — the original, permanently
- Your name, phone number and date of birth
- Your registered devices, so no notification can reach you
- Anything drafted for you that was never delivered
- Your delivery address, if you ordered something we posted to you — the name, phone number, street, city and postcode, in full
- Your ability to sign in — the account is closed, not hidden
What is kept, and why
Some records cannot be deleted without destroying someone else's record or breaking a legal obligation. These are disconnected from your name and kept:
| Kept | Why |
|---|---|
| Clinical notes from sessions | The psychologist's professional record, which they are required to keep |
| The record that a risk was or was not identified | Evidence that a duty of care was met |
| Payment records | Financial record-keeping obligations |
| Your consent records | The proof that we were permitted to hold your data at all — deleting it would destroy the evidence that our processing was lawful |
| Answers written by psychologists | Another person's authored work, not solely your data |
| The bare record of anything you bought | The same financial obligation as payments. What it was, what it cost, and which state it went to — never the address it was sent to |
Written that way round on purpose: your words are removed, other people's records remain. When we finish, we will tell you precisely what was kept rather than saying "some records were retained".
Two details worth being exact about
A question you asked leaves a row saying it existed. The text is gone — both the original and the copy psychologists were shown. What remains is a marker in its place, so the record still shows that a question was asked and that its contents were removed. Emptying the field entirely would lose the fact that the removal ever happened, which is a worse record, not a cleaner one.
An order that has not been posted yet is cancelled and refunded. We will not keep your address in order to send you a parcel you have walked away from. One already on its way still arrives: the address is on the label by then, not in our hands.
What we cannot undo
Deletion is permanent. There is no recovery, and no way to reopen the account. If you want your question history, ask for a copy before you request deletion — write to contact@sattvapatha.com.
If you are deleting because something went wrong
You do not owe us a reason, and this changes nothing about your right to delete.
But if something here upset you, we would rather hear it than not: contact@sattvapatha.com. And if you are deleting your account at a hard moment, these people are available whether or not you use SattvaPatha:
